Adhesives for photopolymerization initiator and a photopolymerizable adhesive

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photopolymerization initiator for an adhesive usable as a dental adhesive composition, extremely high in sensitivity to visible light and excellent in curability, comprising a specific sensitized coloring matter, a photo-acid generator and an aryl borate compound. ;SOLUTION: This photopolymerization initiator comprises (a) preferably 0.0005-30wt.% of a sensitized coloring matter having 350-680nm maximum absorption wavelength, such as 4-trifluoromethyl-7-aminocoumarin, (b) preferably 0.01-90wt.% of a photo-acid generator such as 2,4,6-tris(trichloromethyl)-s-triazine and (c) preferably 0.05-90wt.% of an aryl borate compound such as a trialkylphenyl borate. A polymerizable monomer comprising (meth)acrylate-based monomer containing ≥5wt.% of an acidic group-containing (meth)acrylate-based monomer in an amount of 100 pts.wt. is mixed with 0.01-10 pts.wt. of the photopolymerization initiator for an adhesive to give a photopoylmerizable adhesive.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
