PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a harmonic propagation characteristic analyzer which smoothly and promptly analyzes the propagation characteristic of the harmonics generated by devices with semiconductor elements to an electric system. ;SOLUTION: A harmonic distortion calculating section 1 calculates the harmonic distortion of a unit device which generates harmonics. A frequency response calculating section 3 calculates the frequency response of the section of the object of analysis in the electric-power system when the above-mentioned unit device is replaced with either a current source or voltage source. Then a harmonic propagation characteristic calculating section 5 calculates the harmonic propagation characteristic from the harmonic distortion and the frequency response calculated above. In addition, a means to directly compute the calculations of the above-mentioned frequency response and harmonic propagation characteristics with the unit device as a current source of voltage source which generates the above-mentioned distortion is included as well. Harmonic propagation characteristics can be smoothly analyzed by a transient analysis including an electric system and device and processed in a short time.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
