PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decompose and remove acrylamide monomer remaining in industrial waste water or in an acrylamide polymer article by treating the monomer with a new specific microorganism. ;SOLUTION: Industrial waste water or an acrylamide polymer is purified by treating with Pseudomonas sp. No.0351AM (FERM P-15953) capable of decomposing acrylamide monomer. Any microbial strain belonging to Pseudomonas sp. No.0351AM and capable of decomposing acrylamide monomer can be used for this purpose in addition to the above-microbial strain and its variant.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
