PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the compact antenna structure offering a dual function and the portable radio equipment having the structure. ;SOLUTION: The dual function antenna structure is designed to make transmission reception in 1st and 2nd modes. A 1st feed 120 feeds a primary antenna element 110 operated in the 1st mode. A 2nd feed 140 is coupled with part of the 1st feed 120 or the primary antenna element 110 via a coupling element 130 to realize a secondary antenna element. Thus, in the portable radio equipment, the dual function operation is attained through the compact structure employing the 1st feed 120 and the 2nd feed 140.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
