PURPOSE: To integrally form a cylinder head by connecting a pair of left/right cam carriers by a plug guide cylinder part so as to improve workability of casting and assembly. ;CONSTITUTION: A pair of left/right roof-shaped inclined faces 3 are provided on the upper sides of intake/exhaust air passages of a head main body B. Diaphragms 16 having semi-cylindrical hollows 12 for supporting cam shafts 19 and tappet holes aligned axially with valve stems are provided in a pair of left/right cam carriers A1, A2 in such a way as spacing intervals in the cylinder alignment direction. A plug guide cylinder 14 is integrally connected by a connection bridge part 13 projecting from the diaphragms 16 to the sides, between a pair of left/right cam carriers A1, A2. The bottom end of the plug guide cylinder 14 is engaged around a cylinder part 4a projecting upward from a plug fixture hole 4 which is formed in the center of the head main body B, and the bottom faces 18 of a pair of left/right cam carriers A1, A2 are stacked on the inclined faces 3 of the head main body B so as to be jointed with a bolt.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
