PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the flexibility, bending capability, and softness to a great extent, enhance the producibility, and enhance greatly the sealing performance with a low contacting pressure for fastening. ;SOLUTION: Expanded graphite particles are pressurized and consolidated into a tape shape so that a graphite tape 2 is formed, and the high density portion of its surface 2A is removed by a blasting process to produce a filler material 1.
