PURPOSE: To test various kinds of software programs in different kinds of hardware architectures by constituting this system of a journal module, filter module, data save modules, comparison module, and inspection module, and allowing a user to extend each module. ;CONSTITUTION: Plural applications 200 and 210 are operated through a window system 230, information is received through an inputting device such as a keyboard 250 or a mouse 260, and display information is outputted to a display device 240. A journalizing mechanism 270 tests software operating in a computer system, and records a phenomenon in a journal file. The journal file is reproduced afterwards, each recorded phenomenon is read, and inputted to a window system in order at the time of recording.
