The measuring method and measurement equipment null of static imbalance

PURPOSE: To determine the static unbalance of a ball accurately on the basis of the measuring result from the rotating speed round its own axis and the centrifugal force. ;CONSTITUTION: A ball 4 is borne rotatably by a gas bearing 6 and allowed to rotate round the x-, y-, and z-axes by a compressed air jetted out of a nozzle 15. The thrust load applied to the gas bearing 6 in each case is measured on the basis of the centrifugal force using a load transducer 7, and the static unbalance is calculated on the basis of the result from measuring.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
