PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect a data, e.g. combustion record or alarm record, from combustion controllers efficiently and remotely at a low cost in a shorter time. ;SOLUTION: A remote monitor 1 delivers a data collect instruction to a combustion controller 2 using E-mail on network 3. The combustion controller 2 monitors reception of E-mail and collects requested data upon receiving E-mail of data collect instruction to form an E-mail automatically. E-mail of collected data document is transmitted to a requesting remote monitor 1 or a designated address. The remote monitor 1 stores the data received by E-mail and manages the stored data. When a data can not collected by E-mail, data is collected a preliminary communication means, e.g. telephone line.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
