PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove organic chlorine compounds including dioxins in drainage by a method in which, in the removal of organic chlorine compounds contained in drainage, raw water added with an oxidizing agent is treated in the presence of a catalyst. ;SOLUTION: When organic chlorine compounds contained in drainage from industrial waste and facilities for industrial waste are removed, raw water added with an oxidizing agent is treated in the presence of a catalyst. The oxidizing agent selected from peroxides, ozone, and air, and the catalyst is selected from elements of Pt, Pd, Rh, Ir, Au, Ag, Fe, Co, Ni, V, Cr, Mn, or the like. In a removing apparatus, a substance in which the catalyst is supported on a carrier is packed in a treatment tube, and the raw water is introduced into the tube.
