PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cultivation promoter comprising a culture solution obtained by culturing a microorganism as an active ingredient and exhibiting promoting actions on growth of flowers and ornamental plants, increasing actions on shoots, promotion actions on rooting. PSOLUTION: The cultivation promoter for flowers and ornamental plants comprises a culture solution obtained by culturing a microorganism Bacillus alcalophilus No.201-7 (FERM P-14808), Bacillus sp. No.217-8 (FERM P-15275) or Bacillus sp. No.231-3 (FERM P-15276) belonging to the genus Bacillus and having the promoting actions on cultivation of the flowers and ornamental plants as the active ingredient. The culture solution prepared by culturing the microorganism having the promoting actions on the cultivation of the flowers and ornamental plants is effective as a cultivation promoter for the flowers and ornamental plants, especially orchids such as the genus Cattleya, Papheopedium, Cymbidium, Phalaenopsis or Dendrobium.
