PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for treating muddy water which makes it possible to separate mud having a low water content from muddy water and enables reutilizing the separated mud for reclamation, etc., by permanently solidifying the same. SOLUTION: This apparatus 1 for treating muddy water is provided with a device 11 for separating muddy water which has a cylindrical main body 2, a supply port 4 supplying the muddy water 3 incorporated with a flocculant 60, separation screens 7 which are radially disposed in plural members ranging from the rotation center C of the main body 2 to the inner periphery 5 of the main body 2 and separates the mud 6 from the muddy water 3 by rotating in accordance with the rotation of the main body 2, an exhaust port 9 which exhausts the water content 8 in the mud water 3 and a discharging part 10 which recovers the separated mud 6 and discharges the same to the outside of the main body 2, a stirring and carrying part 14 which carries the mud 6 from the device 11 for separating muddy water and, at the same time, stirs the mud 6, a stabilizer supplying part 15 and a hygroscopic agent supplying part 16 which supply a stabilizer 12 and a hygroscopic agent 13 to the mud 6 during the carriage, a stock yard 61 which ages the mud 6 after stirring and a crusher 62 which crushes the mud 6 after aging into a predetermined grain size or less.
