PURPOSE:To perform the vowel section detection without being affected by whether power is large or small. CONSTITUTION:The voice section detection device equipped with a feature quantity extraction part 3 which converts an input voice signal into the time- series pattern of a frequency spectrum, a voiced section detection part 4 which detects a voiced section from the input voice signal, and a feature vector conversion part which extracts spectrum information nearby a formant from the feature quantity of the voiced section, is equipped with an inter-frame vector comparison part which finds the distance values of distances between respective frames of time-series feature vectors as spectrum information extracted by the feature vector conversion part by the inner product calculation of the time- series feature vectors.
