The invention relates to the cDNA sequences of two interactors (FANCIP2 and FANCIP3) of the Fanconi anemia complementation group A (FANCA) protein and the corresponding encoded proteins. The invention also relates to the corresponding genes, to the antibodies directed to said proteins, to FANCIP2- or FANCIP3-transgenic organisms and cells and to the use of FANCIP2 and FANCIP3 for effector screening and to the pharmaceutical application of the inventive nucleic acids, proteins and antibodies.
