PURPOSE:To provide an anaerobic and aerobic activated sludge method easy to control and capable of achieving the space saving of treatment facilities by the fuzzy inference of an air sending amt. based on the respiration speed and dissolved oxygen amt. of the nitration reaction in an aerobic tank. CONSTITUTION:An anaerobic tank 10 performing denitrification treatment due to denitrifying bacteria, an aerobic tank 20 provided to the next stage of the anaerobic tank 10 and performing the oxidative decomposition of org. matter and ammonia nitration treatment due to nitrifying bacteria and a final sedimentation basin for sedimenting sludge 30 provided to the next stage of the aerobic tank 20 are provided. Air is sent into the aerobic tank 20 in a required air sending amt. and a part of the sludge sedimented in the final sedimentation basin is returned to the anaerobic tank 10 and excessive sludge is drawn out to the outside in a required drawing-out amt. and a nitration soln. is returned to the anaerobic tank 10 from the rear end of the aerobic tank 20 in a required rate and circulated. By this constitution, an air sending amt. is subjected to fuzzy inference on the basis of the respiration speed and dissolved oxygen amt. of the nitration reaction in the aerobic tank 20. As a result, an anaerobic and aerobic activated sludge method easy to control and capable of achieving the space saving of facilities is provided.
