PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for optimizing a quantitative determination of a protein or the like by using an indicator so that the protein or a nucleic acid can be quantitatively determined precisely even by a visual observation and to provide a quantitative determination method for a substance including fluorometery as a quantitative determination method for the substance capable of being quantitatively determined more precisely than in conventional cases.;SOLUTION: The optimization method for a measurement by the indicator of the protein or the like is provided in such a way that an operation in which a color generated by making the indicator changing its color by reacting with the protein or the like react with the protein or the like is plotted on a chromaticity coordinate system is performed under a plurality of conditions whose parameters influencing the generated color are different and that the parameters are set in such a way that the color generated in a desired concentration of the protein or the like becomes a gray point or a part near it in the chromaticity coordinate system. In the method for quantitatively determining the substance by the fluorometery, the quantitative determination method for the substance is provided in such a way a result of a measurement is expressed by the chromaticity coordinate system and that the substance is quantitatively determined on the basis of a working curve on the chromaticity coordinate system.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
