PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a strong electric signal, even in the case where a chemical substance concentration of a target is extremely low, by containing conductive metal particles selected from the group comprising fine powders of a platinum group metal and its mixture, modified graphite, and a thermoplastic polymer with specific weight precentages, respectively.;SOLUTION: This conductor composition has a solid base, and contains conductive metal particles selected from the group comprising fine powders of a platinum group metal and its mixture by about 0.1-5 wt.%, modified graphite by about 62-85 wt.%, and a thermoplastic polymer by about 14-35 wt.%. The platinum group metal is platinum, palladium, rhodium or the like, and platinum is especially preferable. In order to use as a polymer thick-film composition, metal particles are pulverized to form powders. The modified graphite is formed by modifying metal-coated graphite to increase surface functional groups on the graphite by interaction with metal catalyst particles. As a polymer binder, a thermoplastic resin is preferable, and an acrylic-, polyester-, or vinyl- resin or the like is used.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
