There is disclosed a dietary supplement comprising soyabean, mushroom and mung bean or extracts thereof for use in a method to ameliorate at least one effect of maglignancy or viral infection which method comprises: administering to a subject in need of such treatment an effective amount of said dietary supplement, said dietary supplement being administered periodically for a time sufficient to achieve amelioration.
