PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an epoxy resin aqueous dispersion whereby at least one sort selected from excellent safety, the excellent protection of global environment, fine in epoxy resin-containing particles, little aggregation and high mechanical strength of its hardened product is improved.;SOLUTION: The method contains a step for producing W/O type emulsion obtained by containing a component (A) of at least one sort selected from epoxy resins, (B) at least one sort selected from monomers each having ethylenic double bond and (C) at least one sort selected from emulsifiers; a step for the phase inversion of the emulsion to O/W type emulsion; and a step for radical polymerization.
