PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a rush current from flowing in a voltage adjusting circuit, by providing a time difference circuit on the output side of the main coil of a power-saving transformer with a same boosting-dropping voltage autonomous switching unit, and autonomously adjusting the output voltage of the transformer. ;SOLUTION: A voltage sensor which detects the input voltage of a power- saving transformer is incorporated in a substrate and one terminal of the sensor is connected to the input terminal of each main coil L1 and L5, with the other terminal of the sensor being connected to thyristors 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 respectively provided among coils L3, L4, L7, and L8. The thyristors 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 are turned on or off by the output signal of the sensor in accordance with the voltage value detected by means of the sensor, control the combination of main coils L1, L2, L5, and L6 in a time difference switching circuit with exciting coils L3, L4, L7, and L8, and autonomously adjust the output voltage of the transformer.
