PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency and the saving of power in the shunting work of a backup pin 29 by automating the shunting work of the backup pin 29.;SOLUTION: In an automatic shunting mechanism 2 for a base board backup pin, the backup pin 29 erected on a storage base 32 is elevated by a cylinder B33, then, a chuck A64 is descended by a cylinder A to grip the tip end 29a of the shaft of backup pin 29, next, the chuck A64 is elevated to pull out the backup pin 29 from the storage base 32, then, the backup pin 29 gripped by the chuck A64 is transferred relatively onto a backup base 15 by an X-axis direction driving unit 39 and a Y-axis direction driving unit 40 and then, the chuck A64 is descended by the cylinder A70 to insert the backup pin 29 into the predetermined hole position of the backup base 15.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
