PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable monitoring the degree of reception quality degradation without affecting the reception line system.;SOLUTION: In a reception apparatus, broadcast waves received at a reception antenna (21) are amplified by a low noise amplifier (22), are converted to baseband signals by a frequency converter (23), and are orthogonally demodulated by an orthogonal demodulator (24). Then, they are error-corrected and decoded by an error correction decoding device (25), and are converted to the original broadcast data by a decoder (26). When the original broadcast data is reproduced and displayed by a view monitor (27) in a reception margin monitoring apparatus, reception signals are taken out from the input stage of the error correction decoding device (25), directly decoded by a decoder (31) without conducting error correction, and reproduced and displayed by a monitoring monitor (32). Since reception signals prior to the error correction processing are decoded, reception signals degraded in transmission lines can be displayed on the monitor as they are.
