PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time to be required to roughly work a product part of a die by more efficiently working over the whole process for roughly working the product part of a die.;SOLUTION: In a step i, a plurality of kinds of tool loci by one kind of tool are formed in relation to a working shape related to an n-stage contour line on the basis of the working condition stored in a working condition memory means. In a step ii, points of the plurality of tool loci computed in the step i are compared with each other. In a step iii, the tool locus having the smallest point of the tool locus is selected. The selected tool locus is stored as an optimal tool locus for the n-stage. The described work are repeated (a step iv) to structure the working data related to the whole process of the rough working. All of multiple tool loci are structured of the optimal tool locus to be formed in the shortest time, and the working efficiency of the whole process for roughly working the product part of the die is thereby improved.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
