Slip casting for alumina, alumina composition, alumina compact and alumina sintered body

摘要

PURPOSE: To obtain alumina forming a homogeneous casting having high density, ensuring slight warpage and a low shrinkage at the time of sintering and giving an alumina sintered compact excellent in dimensional precision. ;CONSTITUTION: This alumina for slip casting is α-alumina powder which is an aggregate of particles having a ratio of 0.3-1 as the ratio of the minor axis size to the major axis size. The α-alumina powder satisfies D90/D10≤5 and D50/D10≤2.5 when the cumulative 10%, cumulative 50% and cumulative 90% particle diameters from the fine particle side of the cumulative particle size distribution are represented by D10, D50 and D90, respectively.
