PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication controller compatible with a fault that can recognize occurrence of the fault, without the need for conducting wasteful communication on the occurrence of the fault in a terminal in a network.;SOLUTION: A fault occurrence detection section 108 and a fault restoration detection section 109 of a terminal 106 detect the occurrence of a fault or the restoration of a fault in the inside of the terminal itself. A fault frame assembling section 107 assembles a frame with respect to the fault, on the basis of the result of detection and then a communication section 102 simultaneously broadcasts the frame to a transmission line. Each terminal recognizing the occurrence of the fault of the other terminal 106 by a fault frame interpret section 110, however, suppresses the transmission of frames to the faulty terminal, until the fault is recovered.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
