PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for judging a single nucleotide polymorphism on CYP3A5 gene of a drug metabolizing enzyme with high reliability.;SOLUTION: This judging method comprises (1) amplifying the DNA derived from a specimen by a PCR method by using a primer designed so as to specifically amplifying the region including the polymorphism site corresponding to *3 allele (or *6 allele) on the CYP3A5 gene of the drug metabolizing enzyme, (2) digesting the obtained amplified DNA fragments by a restriction enzyme Dde1, and (3) subjecting the obtained fragments to gel electrophoresis, and judging the single nucleotide polymorphism on the CYP3A5 gene from the electrophoresis pattern. A primer set comprising each specific corresponding base sequence is used for the detection of the single nucleotide polymorphism corresponding to the *3 allele, and another primer set comprising each specific corresponding base sequence is used for the detection of the single nucleotide polymorphism corresponding to the *6 allele.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
