PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the circular arc operation of a desired semicircle by calculating the length of a line segment between the starting point and the finishing point of a circular arc, comparing the value and a command radius with each other, comparing the difference and a previously set allowable value, correcting the command radius to the value of a prescribed value and calculating the center of the circular arc from the radius to eliminate the error of a locus. ;SOLUTION: A size of line segment length and command radius comparing means 42 compares the line segment length L/2 and the command radius calculated by a line segment length between starting/finishing points arithmetic means 40 with each other. When the means 42 judges that the command radius is large, a center distance and center angle arithmetic means 80 calculates a center distance from the line segment length and the command radius, calculates the center angle from this center distance and impresses it to a circular arc coordinate arithmetic means 82, which calculates inclination from the starting and finishing point of the circular arc. The coordinate of the center of the circular arc is calculated from the center angle by this inclination and the command radius calculated or corrected by the means 80 or a command radius correcting means 74 to impress to a circular arc interpolation arithmetic part 22.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
