摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a judgment method which can judge whether a fusing treatment is good or not simultaneously with the fusing treatment without relying on a destructive inspection when a terminal and a copper wire are bonded by the fusing treatment. ;CONSTITUTION: In the fusing treatment, an electric current is applied across a terminal 14 and a copper wire 12 which are to be bonded to each other, and they are melted and welded by electric resistance heat. When the fusing treatment is executed, a laser-beam-projecting device 34 and a beam-receiving device 36 are set in such a way that their light path is directed in a direction which passes the upper part of the melting and welding part of the terminal 14 and the copper wire 12, the amount of smoke generated in their melting and welding operation is detected by a smoke sensor which contains the laser- beam-projecting device 34 and the beam-receiving device 36, anal whether the fusing treatment is good or not, is judged on the basis of the magnitude of the amount of smoke.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
