PURPOSE: To carry out sound production to which directivity of a sound source is applied and to generate musical sound rich in real feeling. ;CONSTITUTION: When pitch information PITCH and angle information ϕ are supplied, a coefficient control device 8 selects a group of filter coefficients corresponding to the pitch information PITCH and the angle information ϕ. Consequently, a filter characteristic of a filter circuit 7 comes to be the one corresponding to a directivity angle and pitch of asound source. In the meantime, a read-out control circuit 6 reads out a waveform in a waveform memory 5 with a read-out interval corresponding to the pitch information PITCH. The waveform read out by the waveform memory 5 is filtered with a filter characteristic corresponding to the directivity angle of the sound source by the filter circuit 7.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
