PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring an SO₃ concentration in a flue gas safely and without spending large costs for its measurement and to provide an apparatus for measuring the SO₃ concentration in the flue gas.;SOLUTION: The method enables the measurement of the SO₃ concentration in the flue gas by a fossil fuel. The method for measuring the SO₃ concentration in the flue gas comprises a step in which the flue gas containing SO₃ is guided to a spiral tube; a step of cooling the spiral tube from the outside and in which the SO₃ in the flue gas is dew-formed and condensed to be H₂SO₄ so as to be stuck to an inside wall of the spiral tube; a step of washing the H₂SO₄ stuck to the inside wall of the spiral tube is washed by water so as to be recovered; a step of measuring the electrical conductivity of a recovered liquid; and a step of measuring the SO₃ concentration in the flue gas on the basis of a measured result of the electrical conductivity.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
