PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an easy and proper erection work by combining a translucent plate material of a small-sized glass pane with a roof light window frame having a large area, without any need of using a large-sized glass pane. ;SOLUTION: Connecting battens 4 and 4' made of upper and lower joint members 4a and 4b are laid like a cross on the opening of a rectangular roof light window frame body 2 having a large opening area, thereby dividing the opening into four parts. Thereafter, a translucent plate material 3 having the same size as each divided opening is laid thereon, and the lower surface of the end of the translucent plate material 3 faced to the frames of the frame body 2 adjacent to each other at right angles is held on the frames via a peripheral support material. In this case, the peripheral ends of the translucent plate material 3 faced to the connecting battens 4 and 4' are clamped between the upper and lower jointing batten members 4a and 4b thereof via a packing 10.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
