PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a main and subsidiary shield machine including a divided bulkhead capable of being divided/removed from a bulkhead, having two kinds of a main shield divided bulkhead and a subsidiary shield divided bulkhead, using the main shield divided bulkhead as a main shield state and the subsidiary shield divided bulkhead as a subsidiary shield state to enable a position for taking earth and sand in a screw conveyor included in the divided bulkhead to locate on the lower end of a tunnel even in either state, and always discharging the earth and sand favorably from the inside of the earth and sand collecting room.;SOLUTION: In the parent shield machine, the divided bulkhead (20) capable of being divided/removed from the bulkhead (14) is provided to the part of the bulkhead (14) for partitioning between the inside of a shield body (1) and the earth and sand collecting room (13) formed between a cutter head (11) on the main shield side and the subsidiary shield side and the shield body (1), and the screw conveyor (23) is provided to the divided bulkhead (20).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
