PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print by shortening a working time without deviating an engraving position by storing once engraved data, and using the stored data in the case of again engraving. ;SOLUTION: A stencil printer 6 comprises an image reader 2a for reading an image of an original, an image processing unit 2c for converting image data read by the reader 2a into binary engraving data capable of being engraved to a stencil sheet, an image writer 2b for executing thermal perforations in response to the image of the engraving data from the unit 2c on the stencil sheet, a printing unit 3 for transfer printing a printing sheet by using the stensil sheet engraved by the writer 2b, and a data storage unit 5 for storing the engraving data of an engraving operation and engraving data as re-engraving data at the time of simultaneously engraving on the stensil sheet by the writer 2b. When a limited number of more of sheets are printed, the re-engraved data held in the unit 5 is executed by an input designation by a controller 4 from a control panel 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
