PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find fishes by releasing a fish in which a burial-type electronic responsive device (microchip) that does not respond unless a reading device is in close proximity of not more than 10 cm to it on the ground is buried in the body cavity, into water and detecting a position of the device buried fish from on the ground or on a ship in accordance with such an experience that a game fish such as a black bass is not cooked as an edible fish and is released into the water just after being fished, and the released black bass invariably returns to the position where fishes belonging to the same kind make a group.;SOLUTION: The water having superior electric conductivity is utilized, and querying radio waves are transmitted into the water, and radio waves emitted by the electronic responsive device buried in the fish are received in the water by using the reading device including a submerged antenna.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
