PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque measuring instrument that can measure and control the torque of an object to be measured having brush hairs on its surface when the object is manufactured so as to sellect good-quality products, and to provide a method of measuring torque using the instrument.;SOLUTION: In the torque measuring instrument, a brush 20 is rotatably supported in a state where one end of the branch shaft 21 of the brush 20 is connected to the front end of a rotary bearing shaft 43 connected with a first motor 41. A rotating body 46 is disposed to face the brush 20 so that hairs 24 of the brush 20 may be brought into contact with the body 46 and, at the same time, is made rotatable by connecting a second motor 42 to the body 46 through a rotating shaft 45. The rotary bearing shaft 47 and the rotating shaft 45 are respectively connected with first and second torque detectors 47 and 48 which detect torques generated when the brush 20 and rotating body 46 are rotated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
