PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for exterminating cockroaches, friendly to environment and capable of exterminating perfectly not only images nested in a gap but also egg sheaths and eggs.;SOLUTION: This method for exterminating the cockroaches is provided by using a sucking device 2 equipped with a sucking tube 1, sucking the carcasses, egg sheathes or eggs of the cockroaches presenting in the gap S1 in a room and then installing an insecticide or a trap at or the surroundings of the gap. Instead of or in addition to the installing work of the insecticide, a narrow tube is installed through a wall surface in the vicinity of the gap, the insecticide is ejected or sprayed through the tube. The device for exterminating the cockroaches is provided by installing a slender sucking nozzle tube 5 at the tip part of the sucking tube 1, forming a tip sucking port opening in length direction of the tube and a side sucking port opening at the peripheral side wall of the nozzle tube and opening the ports by a sucking port-switching mechanism capable of being operated at a grip part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
