PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for statistically evaluating the expression level of a nucleic acid specifying a gene whose expression level is changeable with schizophrenia in order to contribute to the objective diagnosis of the schizophrenia using genetic expression as index. SOLUTION: A method for analyzing whether the expression level of a nucleic acid specifying a gene whose expression level is changeable with schizophrenia in a testee is statistically in a range of expression level of a normal person. The method comprises steps of measuring the expression level of a gene specifying a nucleic acid whose expression level is changeable with schizophrenia and/or the expression level of a protein encoded by the nucleic acid specifying a gene whose expression level is changeable with the schizophrenia by using a specimen taken from the testee.
