PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil spring type balancer in which a spindle is wrapped with a coil spring with no step.;SOLUTION: A coil spring type balancer 5 comprises a coil spring locking adapter 16 which is fitted to a spindle 11 when the inward end of a coil spring 14 is locked with a spindle 11 of a take-up drum 12, so that the spindle 11 is wrapped with the coil spring 14 with no step. The coil spring locking adapter 16 is an annular member which, with at least the outside surface being circular, comprises a slit 17 in the bus line on the peripheral surface. One-side groove outside edge 16a is stepped from the-other-side groove outside edge 16b while they stride the slit 17. An accommodating recess 16c is formed on the inner peripheral surface to accommodate an inward end bent 14B of the coil spring 14.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
