PROTECTOR FOR MARTIAL ARTS, AND HIT-JUDGING SYSTEM USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protector for martial arts with a built-in effective hit- detecting sensor which can detect the determining location of an effective hit and its strength, and a hit-judging sensor using the protector for martial arts. ;SOLUTION: For protectors 10 to 13 for 'kendo' (Japanese fencing), the effective hit detecting sensor 20, and a signal transmitting unit 30 which transmits an effective hit detection signal from the effective hit-detecting sensor 20 to an effective hit-judging device 40 are arranged at specified locations. The effective hit-detecting sensor 20 comprises, e.g. a membrane switch, and when top and bottom electrodes 24a and 25a are communicated by a hit, the effective hit detection signal is detected by the detecting circuit 31 of the signal transmitting unit 30. The effective hit detection signal which is detected by the effective hit-detecting sensor 20 is transmitted to the effective hit-judging device 40 through the signal transmitting unit 30. Then, the effective hit-judging device 40 performs the judgement of an effective hit based on the effective hit-detection signal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
