Root cutting machine of seedlings

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter for seedling roots, capable of mechanizing an operation for placing seedlings on a scooping plate besides root cutting. ;SOLUTION: This cutter for seedling roots is equipped with a lifting apparatus for raising one end of a mat seedling in a seedling raising box and rolling up the seedling and a cutting apparatus for pushing cutting blades 6 into between the mat seedling whose end is rolled up and the seedling raising box. The cutting apparatus is furnished with a driving mechanism for making the cutting blades 6 move for pushing and move for drawing back by the normal and reverse rotation of a drum 12 having wound the flexible cutting blades 6. The cutting blades 6 are moved for pushing in a state of shouldering a seedling scooping plate H to constitute a seedling placing apparatus C for loading the mat seedling on the seedling scooping plate H when the root cutting is finished.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
