BALL SELECTION AND THROWING-IN DEVICE FOR USE IN CONDENSER TUBE CLEANING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball selection and throwing-in device for a condenser tube cleaning apparatus, in which balls do not stagnate in a screen and which can automatically make selection between unusable balls of worn, reduced outer diameters and usable balls and replenish new balls.;SOLUTION: The ball selection and throwing-in device is arranged in a path which branches off via a valve from another path leading from a ball circulating pump to a ball collector and joins with a ball throwing-in pipe for throwing the balls into a circulating water pipe. The device comprises a comb teeth-like blade 15 rotated by a shaft 14, and the screen 16 partitioned in its thickness direction by a plurality of ring-shaped plates to form a plurality of inlet valves 16a, in which the predetermined distance is set larger than the external shapes of the balls 8 that has become unusable and the tips of comb teeth are adapted to push back the balls 8 stagnating in the inlet valves upon rotation of the blade.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
