PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a purified heparin scarcely lowering an activity, its salt or a heparin derivative thereof and a method for producing a purified low-molecular heparin having a high anti-Xa factor activity or its salt.;SOLUTION: (1) A heparin, its salt or a heparin derivative thereof is adsorbed on an anion exchanger in which an anion is substituted with a conjugated base ion. An anion exchanger treatment for liberating the heparin, its salt or the heparin derivative thereof from the anion exchanger is carried out to produce the purified heparin, its salt or the heparin derivative thereof. (2) The heparin or its salt is subjected to a treatment for reducing the molecular weight and the resultant low-molecular heparin or its salt is then adsorbed on the anion exchanger in which the anion is substituted with the conjugated base ion. The anion exchanger treatment for liberation from the anion exchanger is subsequently performed to produce the purified low-molecular heparin or its salt.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
