PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the disconnection state of a heating thermal element in an eddy current meter for detection using two heating thermal elements, and to allow the eddy current meter to output a fail when at least one of the heating thermal elements is disconnected. ;SOLUTION: First and second disconnection circuits 105 and 106 are connected respectively with first and second bridge circuits 101 and 102 used for an eddy signal detection means, and the output signals from the disconnection detection circuits are inputted into a fail output circuit 107 so as to detect the disconnection state of heating thermal elements. When any disconnection is detected therein, the output signals outputting from a waveform shaping circuit 104 through a differential amplification/filter circuit 103 from the bridge circuits 101 and 102 are made to be a fail signal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
