BEAD WITH STIFFENER, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF RAW TIRE USING BEAD WITH STIFFENER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily manufacture a tire with a side end part of a carcass ply 38 wound around a bead 12, and to shorten the manufacturing time. SOLUTION: A bead 11 having a stiffener in which a stiffener 13 having an annular groove 16 is tightly fitted to the bead 12 in a separate set-up is formed before the bead 12 is set to a forming drum 35, and the bead 11 having the stiffener is used in manufacturing a raw tire. Therefore, the stiffener need not be affixed in a separate step after the side end part of the carcass ply 38 is wound around the bead 12 like in a conventional technology.
