ALKALINE MUDDY SOIL TREATING METHOD AND ALKALINE MUDDY SOIL MODIFYING AGENT

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the workability of alkaline muddy soil and expand the recyclable/usable range of the alkaline muddy soil by lowering the pH of the alkaline muddy soil by adding a small amount of an acid substance and keeping the lowered pH stably. PSOLUTION: This alkaline muddy soil treating method is used for neutralizing the alkaline muddy soil containing cement or cement solidifying agent. This method comprises a step to add the acid substance such as phosphoric acid and a retarder such as cane sugar to the alkaline muddy soil and mix them. As a result, since the increase of the pH of the alkaline muddy soil owing to the hydration reaction of the cement is restrained by the retarder, the amount of the acid substance to be used for neutralization can be reduced and the neutralized muddy soil can be prevented from becoming alkaline since the pH does not increase again owing to the dehydration reaction of the cement.
