PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for estimating the approximate vulcanization capacity of a tread pattern. PSOLUTION: The estimation method for the vulcanization capacity of the tread pattern includes a defining step S2 for dividing the tread pattern into a plurality of evaluation blocks becoming a standard for evaluating a vulcanization capacity to define the same, a step S3 for calculating the volumes Vb of the respective evaluated blocks, a step S4 for calculating the mold contact areas S coming into contact with the molds of the respective evaluated blocks, a step S5 for calculating vulcanization judge values being the ratio of the volumes Vb and the mold contact area S and a step S7 for comparing the vulcanization judge values of the respective evaluated blocks.
