Stirling refrigerator or Joule-Thomson circuit start-up operating method of the reciprocating compressor

PURPOSE: To prevent damage of a frequency converter and to reduce in size and weight by specifying an output frequency and an output voltage of the converter at a priming starting moment when a current flows from the converter to driving means to start a Stirling refrigerator. ;CONSTITUTION: A frequency converter 4 so set as to increase an output frequency and an output voltage at a predetermined change rate is disposed between a three-phase induction motor 1a of driving means for driving a Stirling refrigerator 1 and a power source 8. A current responsive to the output frequency and the output voltage from the converter 4 flows to the motor la, thereby starting the refrigerator 1. In this case, the converter 4 is controlled by a controller 6 to set an output frequency of the converter 4 at a priming starting moment to 1-35Hz and an output voltage to 1-80V. Thus, an output current maximum peak value of the converter 4 at the time of starting is lowered.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
