PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of recovering a mineral acid by efficiently separating boric acid from a mixed liquid of boric acid and the mineral acid like a waste mixed acid generated by the regeneration treatment of an ion exchange resin or a chelate material.;SOLUTION: In the method for recovering the mineral acid by separating boric acid in the mixed acid containing the mineral acid component such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid or the like and boric acid, the mixed acid is set to a state of pH 5 or lower to be electrodialyzed to transfer anions of the mineral acid component to an anode. This method is performed by a boric acid separation apparatus wherein the interior of a dialytic tank 10 is partitioned by an anion exchange membrane 11 and an anode chamber 13 having an anode 12 arranged therein is provided to one partitioned chamber while a cathode chamber 15 having a cathode 14 arranged therein is provided to the other partitioned chamber, and a mixed acid inflow route 16 and a boric acid refined liquid outflow route 17 are provided to the cathode chamber 15 while a carrier liquid inflow route 18 and a mineral acid concentrated liquid outflow route 19 are provided to the anode chamber 13.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
