PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which is a method of forming inorganic films having an excellent corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, wear resistance, and heat resistance on the surfaces of copper tubes or components, etc., of a heat exchanger for a hot-water supply device and forms the inorganic films having the high adhesion strength between base materials and the inorganic films and excellent durability. PSOLUTION: The surface of the copper tube is degreased and after the naturally oxidized film is removed therefrom, the oxidized film having a thickness of 10 to 1,000 nm and containing at least either of CuSB2/SBO and Cu(OH)SB2/SBis formed on the surface of the copper tube by immersing the copper tube into aqueous alkaline solution. Next, a treating solution containing a polymer of metal alkoxide is applied on the oxidized film and is then subjected to heat treatment, by which an amorphous ceramic film is formed.
