BULKY COATED PAPER MADE FROM WASTE PAPER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the yield of a paper bulking agent in increasing the paper thickness by adding the paper bulking agent to a pulp containing a treated waste paper pulp and to keep a sufficient paper thickness even by using the treated waste paper pulp.;SOLUTION: The pulp containing a treated waste paper pulp is compounded with a paper bulking agent and calcium carbonate in an amount of 10-100 kg/t based on the pulp to improve the yield of the bulking agent. The pH of the paper-making raw material is adjusted to 8-10 at the addition of the bulking agent and the obtained pulp is subjected to the paper-making, drying and coating procedures. The bulk density of the bulky coated paper is preferably 0.750-0.900 g/cm³.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
